Top 3 intentions

Schedule

Time What
08:30 Spanish, then inbox
09:30 Deep work: onboarding checklist
12:00 Lunch walk with Sam
14:00 Northwind sync (support handoff)
15:30 1:1 with Priya
17:30 Climbing gym

Notes

  • The onboarding checklist was half the length I expected once I cut the steps nobody actually does. Probably true of most process docs.
  • Northwind wants the handoff moved to Thursdays. Fine, but it collides with the design review, so I need to ask Leo about swapping.
  • Felt scattered after lunch. The afternoon had three context switches in ninety minutes and I got nothing done between them.

Wins

  • Priya said the checklist was "the first one I would actually follow."
  • Did not check Slack during the morning block. First time this week.
  • Sent the overdue thank-you note to Marcus.

What I learned

  • Short gaps between meetings are not free time, they are recovery time. Next week I will cluster meetings on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and protect the mornings.

Tomorrow

  • Call the dentist at 08:30 before anything else, the office opens then and fills up by nine.
Evening check-in (optional)
  • Energy: 3/5
  • Focus: 4/5 in the morning, 2/5 after lunch
  • Grateful for: Sam dragging me outside at noon, and a quiet train home.

Daily journal

Date: [date]

Anchor the entry. A journal without dates is just a stream of undated regret.

Top 3 intentions

Pick three, not ten. A list that long is really a to-do list wearing a journal costume.

Schedule

What the day actually looks like on the calendar, so intentions have somewhere to fit.

Time What

Notes

Whatever's on your mind, unfiltered. This section doesn't need to be tidy.

Wins

Small counts. Noticing them is the point, not the size of them.

What I learned

One real thing, even a small one. It forces the day to teach you something instead of just passing.

Tomorrow

The one thing you want tomorrow-you to already know walking in.

Evening check-in (optional)

Rate the day 1 to 5 on energy and focus. Over a month the numbers show patterns your memory smooths over.

  • Energy: /5
  • Focus: /5
  • Grateful for:

Questions

Should I write it every day?
Aim for most days, a skipped day is fine and the dated entries still line up
Morning or evening?
Intentions and Schedule in the morning, Wins and What I learned at night
Who can see it?
Only you, new personal docs are private until you share them

Connect Claude to reph over MCP, then paste this. The draft arrives as suggestions you accept or reject section by section. How to connect Claude.

Find my reph doc "Daily journal" with search_docs, then read it with read_doc. Fill Schedule from the calendar events I paste, and carry unchecked intentions from yesterday's entry (find it with search_docs). Leave Notes, Wins and What I learned for me. File it with suggest_edit, one replace_section op per section (heading line kept) so each can be accepted alone. Ask each open question (anything you were unsure about) with add_comment quoting that section's heading line, then call request_review with a one-line summary.
